<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a hub unit bearing capable of properly and stably setting a shaft force generated at a fitting part by caulking, as caulking part is formed by fitting and fixing an inner ring element to a hub shaft and radially expanding a hub shaft tip end part. <P>SOLUTION: In the hub unit bearing, the caulking part is formed by expansion plastic deformation of the tip end part of the hub shaft and an inner ring element is fixed to the fitting part of the hub shaft. In the assembling method of the hub unit bearing, a calibration diagram representing relation of a shaft force and a displacement of a flat surface height of the fitting part is prepared in a preparation process. In a caulking process, the displacement of the flat surface height is monitored and measured following move of caulking load while performing rolling caulking. Caulking finish is instructed after confirming the shaft force while comparing the displacement with the calibration diagram. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
