CAPABILITY ESTIMATION SYSTEM, METHOD, PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capability estimation method and a system which can estimate simultaneously an examinee capability, a problem difficulty level and a difficulty level correlation among problems within a practical use period.

SOLUTION: This system is provided with; a reply database (DB) 1 in which a result of a right answer and a wrong answer of each problem j for each examinee i is stored as binary data xij wherein X is a probability variable of an examinee population's reply result; a problem correlation calculation section 2 which calculates a correlation J in relation to a difficulty level between problems in which whether a problem of 1 has been answered correctly affects whether the other problems of 1 answered correctly wherein the probability variable X is assumed as an input; and an estimation section 3 which calculates each examinee's capability estimated valueθand difficulty level estimated valueβof each problem by convergent calculation wherein the probability variable X and the correlation J between problems are assumed as inputs.
