PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform intended shift down in an AT mode. SOLUTION: A control system 5 is provided with an MT mode temporarily selecting section 51 for making a gear change mode selecting section 52 select an MT mode temporarily and for making a gear ratio control section 55 change the gear ratio of a transmission 20 to any one of gear ratios positioned lower than a current gear ratio of the transmission 20 among a plurality of predetermined gear ratios, when a mode change signal 101 is input in an AT mode selected by the gear change mode selecting section 52; and with an AT mode returning section 54 for returning the gear change mode selected by the gear change mode selecting section 52 to the AT mode when a release signal 107 is output after the MT mode is temporarily selected by the MT mode temporarily selecting section 51.
