摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can readily detect the definition performance peak position, while simplifying the optical system and reducing the cost, and can obtain a properly reconstructed image while reducing the impact of noise, and to provide its manufacturing apparatus and method. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises an optical system 110 equipped with an optical wave front modulating element 114, having a function for deforming the wave front of the image formed on the light receiving surface of an image sensor 120 by an image formation lens where emergence of the optical wave front modulation function depends on the outside, an image sensor 120, and an image processor 140 that generates an image signal, having no dispersion from an object dispersion image signal, wherein the outside dependent optical wave front modulation element 114 has such a performance where the light passing through the optical system under one focus state forms an image at a position different in the direction of optical axis, depending on the distance of the light source when the optical wave front modulation function is controlled to non-emergence state by a modulation function control section 200, and becomes multi-focal point state, when it is controlled to be an emerging state.
