PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, lightweight and inexpensive portable remote brain terminal device price. SOLUTION: The device comprises a communication section, a main control section, a programmable type I/O, a battery power supply, an I/F connector and an application software. The communication section connects the main control section with a card BUS for use, and uses, a commercial card-type mobile-phone. The main control section is constituted by basic software including control of a hardware part of the commercial card-type mobile-phone, management of application software and a function of processing. The programmable type I/O selects various kinds of sensors and actuators, and the like of external devices. The application software drives an infrared sensor to sense a failure, automatically warn of failure to a mobile-phone number set beforehand and/or make a phone call if the failure is detected.
