摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system enabling relaying by an optical network for setting a wavelength path between two optical burst switching networks. SOLUTION: The system contains first and second devices. The first device generates an optical burst signal from transmission data, determines whether the wavelength path is maintained based on the time interval between the optical burst signal and the next signal, belonging to the same destination or the same communication, and generates the control packet of the optical burst signal including the determined result. The second device has a function of controlling the setting of a wavelength path to a network setting the wavelength path and maintains or cancels the set wavelength path, according to the determined result included in the control packet, when the wavelength path set to the network is used for transferring the received control packet and the optical burst signal.
