PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a cascode amplifier capable of suppressing variations of operating points and characteristics due to variations in temperature or in processes. SOLUTION: The cascode amplifier comprises a cascode-amplifying circuit 50 for amplifying and outputting differential output of a prestage-amplifying circuit; and a bias circuit 53 for supplying a bias voltage to the cascode-amplifying circuit, based on a bias current, and determining cascode voltage by adding the bias current and the bias current of the prestage amplifying circuit so as to impress the voltage on a base of a cascode transistor of the cascode-amplifying circuit.
