PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal module which is capable of easily and quickly eliminating or reducing the unevenness of image display, which is caused by application of an external force of distortion due to dimensional errors during processing and assembling, and a liquid crystal display device provided with this liquid crystal module. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal module 11 includes a liquid crystal panel 103 for displaying an image, a backlight 106 for irradiating with light to the liquid crystal panel 103 to lighten the liquid crystal panel; and a shield plate 19 for shielding electromagnetic waves from the outside. The liquid crystal module 10 is constituted by attaching the backlight 106 to a frame-like chassis 107 and providing the frame-like chassis 107 with a panel holding frame 108 for holding the liquid crystal panel 103. The frame-like chassis 107 and the panel holding frame 108 can be displaced close to and away from a screen of the liquid crystal panel 103 by an adjuster screw 13 engaged with one of the frame-like chassis 107 and the panel holding frame 108.
