PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative part superior in corrosion resistance and adhesion, and having an Au-Cu-based alloy hardened layer. SOLUTION: The surface of the decorative part formed of a soft base material such as stainless steel or Ti is provided with an alloy hardened layer formed of Au-Cu-M<SB>1</SB>-M<SB>2</SB>, in which Au-Cu is a main component and M<SB>1</SB>includes one or more metals selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd, Ag and Ni, and M<SB>2</SB>includes one or more metals selected from the group consisting of Ta, Ti, Cr and Fe. Thereby, the decorative part can be made which has a high flaw resistant able to prevent exposure of base material due to impact or friction and a high corrosion resistant causing no corrosion. Furthermore, remarkable effect can be obtained in the flaw resistance by having a nitride layer formed of one or more metals selected from among Ti, Hf and Zr between the hardened layer and the base material as an intermediate layer.
