PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet molding machine which can prevent the occurrence of air entrainment when a material is supplied, keep the uniform distribution of powder in the material, and pack the material uniformly in a cavity, and to provide a wet molding method using the machine. SOLUTION: In the initial position setting process of the wet molding method, a lower punch 30 is raised and arranged at an initial position so that the upper surface 30A of the lower punch 30 is flushed with the upper surface 10A of a die 10. In the feeding position movement process, a material feeding tank 60 wherein the material 2 is reserved in advance in a reservoir chamber 60a is moved from a refuge position to a feeding position. In the material packing process, by bringing down the lower punch 30, from a state that the volume of the cavity 1a is zero, while the cavity 1a is formed by the die 10 and the lower punch 30, the material 2 in the material feeding tank 60 at the feeding position is sucked into the cavity 1a through a material feeding port.
