The invention relates to the use of polycarbonate-, polyurethane- and/or polyurea-polyorganosiloxane compounds, designed to treat hard surfaces, or a precursor compound thereof containing specific reactive groups, which can be used for the production thereof. The treated surface is protected from soiling and/or the removal of soiling from the surface is facilitated.
