PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely perform select operation, by providing such an arrangement that a reed piece on an interlock plate is engaged with one of shifter arms when a select lever is selectively engaged with the other shifter arm, and the reed piece side end face of the other select lever abuts against the outer end face of the above-mentioned shifter arm. CONSTITUTION:An interlock plate 3 is attached so that it slides integrally with a select 2 slidably and rotatably attached to the select shaft 1. When the select lever 2 is engaged in an engaging recess 4a in a shifter arm 4b, reed pieces 3a, 3b of an interlock plate 3 cover the other engaging recesses 5a, 6a, and the end faces 9b, 9a on the reed piece 3b, 3a side abuts against the end face of the shifter arm 6b or 4b, thereby it is possible to prevent double meshing by which two shifter arms are simultaneously engaged in error.
