The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat comprising a base having two lateral parts, and a seat area having a padded shell, the padded shell being arranged between the two lateral parts (22, 24) and supported by same. The padded shell comprises a front padded half-shell (28) and a rear shell region (30). An articulated connection is provided between the front padded half-shell (28) and the rear shell region (30), and has an articulated axle extending in the y direction. A left lateral longitudinal guiding element is provided between the left lateral part (22) and the padded shell, and a right lateral longitudinal guiding element is provided between the right lateral part (24) and the padded shell, said lateral guiding elements each comprising first guiding means arranged on the respective lateral part (22, 24), and second guiding means arranged on the padded shell, and the two lateral longitudinal guiding elements guide essentially in the x direction. At least one, preferably two, rear longitudinal guiding element(s), is/are provided between the rear shell region (30) and a holding element connected to the lateral parts, said holding element comprising first guiding parts (40) connected to the holding element, and second guiding parts (42) connected to the rear shell region (30). The guiding direction of the rear longitudinal guiding element is essentially parallel to that of the lateral longitudinal guiding elements.
