PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make precision of a ramp generator excellent. SOLUTION: This analog-to-digital converter comprises: a control circuit that controls a ramp generator to output ramp-modulated analog ramp output, thereby generating a digital code corresponding to each analog ramp output; and a comparator circuit being an analogue digital converter that is connected so as to receive an analog input signal and the analog ramp output, and generates a signal when the received analog input signal become equal to the analog ramp output. The ramp generator has: a curve generator which generates a ramp code; an address circuit which generates row and column addresses and lock signals from the ramp code; and an array of a plurality of unit cells each has a voltage output, and the analog ramp outputs based on the row and column addresses and the lock signals are generated.
