PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet motor which can suppress is light-weight. SOLUTION: A stator core formed of laminated steel sheets is used for the permanent magnet motor. Since the density of the saturation flux of the laminated steel sheet is higher than the density of flux at the magnetic operation point of a permanent magnet 75, reduction in the flux linkage can be suppressed, even if the height dimension B in the axial direction of the permanent magnet 75 is larger than the dimension A in the same direction of teeth 32. According to this, the circumferential length of a coil 36 can be shortened, and thereby a copper loss is reduced, and since a head 45 formed of a dust core is interposed between the teeth 32 and the permanent magnet 75, flux in the vertical direction with respect to a lamination area of the stator core is made to flow in the head 45. Since the iron loss of the stator core is reduced together with the copper loss of the coil 36, the loss of the permanent magnet motor is suppressed, as a whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
