PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication method that enables load sharing of a subscriber node related to multicast service distribution. SOLUTION: A communication system includes mobile units, a wireless base station, and a subscriber node that makes control of the mobile units via the wireless base station. The communication system is configured so that a pool is constituted of one or more subscriber nodes and the wireless base station is connected to the subscriber nodes. The communication method is for executing multicast service distribution to the mobile units in the communication system. The method includes a step of making the subscriber nodes correspond to each other for each multicast service in the same pool; a step (S4) of transferring a request message for participation in a multicast group or a request message for secession from a multicast group to all the subscriber nodes in the same pool by multicast, when the wireless base station receives the message; and a step (S5) in which the subscriber node, corresponding to the multicast service executes processing for participation in a group or for secession from a group on the basis of the message, when the message is received.
