PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system by which a user can update an SSID, encryption system or key of an access point of a wireless LAN even without being conscious thereof, and also to provide a system by which the user can more easily set the setup for the access point of the wireless LAN to a PC. SOLUTION: A wireless connection environment setting system comprises: a server including a transmission means for transmitting to a network wireless LAN connection environment information indicating a wireless LAN connection environment which is set between an information terminal and an access point of a wireless LAN, for wirelessly connecting the information terminal and the access point; and the information terminal including a self-setting means for setting its own wireless LAN connection environment on the basis of the wireless LAN connection environment information received from the server.
