PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of efficiently dissipating the heat generated at an imaging element, inexpensively without providing any additional component. SOLUTION: A housing 12 of the digital camera 11 comprises a front cover 13 and a rear cover 14 made of polycarbonate. An opening portion into which a lens barrel 16 is inserted is bored in the front of the front cover 13. A holding plate 23 made of polycarbonate is fitted inside the opening portion, and the lens barrel 16 is held by the holding plate 23. To the holding plate 23, a CCD image sensor 26 is fixed which is shielded by a transparent material 25 in front of a photodetection unit 24. Heat of the CCD image sensor 26 which is emitted during imaging is conducted from the holding plate 23 to the front cover 13 to efficiently be radiated to before the housing 12.
