PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate recovery of a dispersion medium separated from a liquid sample. SOLUTION: The liquid sample separation and extraction device 300 for separating toner and carrier liquid from a liquid developer including the toner and carrier liquid and extracting the toner and carrier liquid comprises an electrode roller 382, a damming roller 383, a blade member 384 and a liquid storage container 380. A voltage is applied to the electrode roller 382 so as to draw toner to the electrode roller. The damming roller 383 is abutted to the electrode roller 382 to dam the toner. The blade member 384 scrapes up toner passing through a position where the electrode roller 382 is held in contact with the damming roller 383. The liquid storage container 380 is arranged so as to cover the outer circumference of the electrode roller 382, has a first discharge opening 380c arranged near the lowermost part of the liquid storage container and can store the liquid sample.
