PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction in observation time loss of a sample and simplification of assembling. SOLUTION: A stand type magnifying glass apparatus includes a supporting column 13 stood on and fixed to a work stand 11 and a magnifying lens 25 held on the supporting column 13 and magnifying a sample 51 for observation, and the apparatus has at least one mirror 35 which is disposed in the periphery of the sample 51 on the work stand so that peripheral faces of the sample on the work stand 11, other than faces of the sample which can be viewed in the field of view of the magnifying lens 25, can be viewed in the field of view of the magnifying lens 25.
