PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular arc slide device capable of attaining high accuracy and cost reduction. SOLUTION: In the working method of the guide groove in the slide device, a lower plate and an upper plate 20 are slidably combined through a circular arc track, guide grooves 31 of a circular arc cross section shape constituting the circular arc track are formed on opposed flat surfaces 25a opposed to each other of the guide rail parts 25 of the lower plate and the upper plate respectively, and a plurality of balls are rollably fitted between the both guide grooves. In the state that a tool rotation shaft 110J is obliquely retained relative to an axis T perpendicular to the opposed flat surface 25a, it is relatively fed/moved in an extension direction of the guide groove 31 while rotating an end mill 110. Therefore, the guide groove is worked by a cutting effective outer peripheral part of a semi-spherical blade part at a distal end of the end mill. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
