摘要 An in-plane mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) module is provided to compensate for the flexure of an LCD panel due to contraction of a polarizing plate by using glass substrates having different thermal expansion rates as upper and lower substrates for the LCD panel. A backlight unit(110) is disposed on a cover bottom(115). A lower polarizing plate(156) is disposed on the backlight unit, wherein the lower polarizing plate is drawn in a long-axis direction. An LCD panel(145) is disposed below the lower polarizing plate, wherein the LCD panel is bent to be downwardly convex. An upper polarizing plate is disposed on the LCD panel, wherein the upper polarizing plate is drawn in a short-axis direction. A main supporter(140) surrounds the backlight unit and the LCD panel. A top case(135) is disposed on the upper polarizing plate. The LCD panel is manufactured by using a glass substrate having a relatively large thermal expansion rate as a lower substrate and a glass substrate having a relatively small thermal expansion rate as an upper substrate. The upper and lower substrates are pressurized and heated in a cell process step so that the lower substrate is expanded more than the upper substrate, thereby bending the LCD panel to be downwardly convex.
