EXPANSION JOINT DEVICE CONSTRUCTION WORK METHOD

An apparatus and a method for installing an expansion joint for construction by using a mounting plate are provided to prevent a paved surface from subsiding due to subsidence of the ground cased by an impact generated when a vehicle runs. An apparatus for installing an expansion joint for construction by using a mounting plate comprises a main girder(30) and a slab(40). Both ends of the slab are supported by an abutment(20). A side girder(10) is installed at the outer side of the upper end of the abutment. The lower one end of the side girder is partially mounted on the abutment to form a boundary with the ground(80). An expansion joint installation unit(11) protrudes from the side girder to be level with the slab. A mounting plate(41) made of concrete is mounted on the side girder and the main girder while being level with the slab. The mounting plate is connected with the expansion joint installation unit by using an expansion joint(50).
