PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet material having water pressure resistance and moisture permeability in compatibility by coating a moisture permeable resin on a fluffy base fabric subjected to a water- and oil-repellent treatment by a round-edged doctor knife. CONSTITUTION:The fluffy base fabric which consists of natural fibers of cotton, hemp, etc. or regenerated fibers of rayon, etc., and is preliminarily subjected to the water- and oil-repellent treatment with a fluorine, silicone, etc., is used. The moisture permeable resin such as dry coating method urethane resin or the like to form fine foam structure is coated on such base fabric by the round- bladed doctor knife having >=2R blade edge. Sheet material which has good water pressure resistance performance and moisture permeability performance and has the appearance of touch, feeling and finish inherent to fluffy fibers is thus obtd.
