PURPOSE:To input coordinate values by simple structure and operation by providing three encoders that read rotation of a ball in the directions of three axes. CONSTITUTION:Rotation of a ball 2 in the directions of X, Y axes is read by an X direction movement distance reading roller 5 and a Y direction movement distance reading roller 3, and distance of movement in X direction and Y direction is measured respectively by an X direction movement distance measuring encoder 6 and a Y direction movement distance measuring encoder 4 connected to the rollers and converted to electrical signals. Further, angles of rotation in X, Y, Z directions are measured by a direction of rotation movement distance measuring encoder 8 and converted to electrical signals. Accordingly, distance of movement of the body of the device 1 in X, Y, Z directions and angles of rotation in three directions can be converted to electrical signals and processed by simple operation.
