<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical adapter which does not require user selection of output voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A universal power adapter has an input for receiving an input voltage from a power source and an output from supplying an output voltage selected from amongst two or more preset voltages. A voltage converter circuit performs conversion between the input voltage and the two or more preset voltages.
