<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic material joining method in which the contactness of a joint part can be secured while simplifying the configuration of the joint part, and to provide a metallic material used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: In this joining method of metallic materials, as a rib member 2 for joining to an outer plate panel 1, such rib member is used in which the tip end 23a of the flange 23 is inclined so as to be situated on the opposite side of the top part 21 relative to the base end 23b. Then, after the tip end 23a of the flange 23 of the rib member 2 is brought into contact with the inner face 1a of the outer plate panel 1, the top part 21 of the rib member 2 is pressurized to the outer plate panel 1 side. Consequently, with the tip end 23a of the flange 23 as a fulcrum, the flange 23 is deformed to the outer plate panel 1, enabling the entire flange 23 to stick closely to the inner face 1a of the outer plate panel 1. Also, in this joining method, there is no need to arrange a pressurizing means or the like in the flange 23, which eliminates restriction of the forming part of a weld zone W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
