PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoisting machine capable of performing highly frequent operation by efficiently radiating the heat of an inverter built in a hoisting machine body to the outside air with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The hoisting machine comprises a motor for elevating/lowering cargoes and a deceleration mechanism, and the motor for elevating/lowering cargoes is driven by an inverter 12 built in a hoisting machine body. A heat radiating means is provided, which radiates the heat generated by the inverter 12 to a deceleration mechanism casing 15 for storing the deceleration mechanism therein. The heat radiating means is a fitting means for fitting the inverter 12 to the deceleration mechanism casing 15 with at least a part the inverter being directly and tightly brought into surface contact with the casing.
