PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of distinguishing image data that are stored in the communication device without being transmitted due to transmission trouble from other image data, and capable of properly managing the image data by specifying a transmission destination of the stored image data. SOLUTION: According to facsimile reception processing, the IP address of a server 30 is made to correspond to transmission waiting data that are stored without being transmitted due to the transmission trouble, such that the transmission waiting data can be distinguished from among stored data and a transmission destination of the transmission waiting data can be specified in accordance with the IP address added thereto. Furthermore, the IP address of the server 30 is added as attribute information of a PDF file, such that since a data text portion constituting an image of the PDF file is not modified, when that PDF file is printed out, the IP address unknown for a user can be restrained from being printed on recording paper.
