PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control unit of a continuously variable transmission which can properly and easily control the oil amount fed for cooling and lubrication irrespective of the rotating condition of a pump motor. SOLUTION: In the hydraulic control unit of the continuously variable transmission which is provided for a variable capacity type hydraulic pump-motor 12, 13 and the transmitted torque to an output member is changed according to the capacity and the oil pressure of the hydraulic pump-motor 12, 13, the closed circuit C0 which circulates the pressure oil between the hydraulic pump-motor 12, 13, the lubrication circuit part C1 which feeds the working oil for cooling or lubrication to the required lubrication part D1, D2 for the hydraulic pump-motor 12, 13 and the continuously variable transmission, the feed pump 35 which feeds the above working oil to the lubrication circuit C1 while feeding the pressure oil to the closed circuit C0 and the working unit 56, 57 which changes the capacity of the hydraulic pump-motor 12, 13 interlocked with the capacity of the working oil fed to the hydraulic pump-motor 12, 13 from the feed pump 35.
