PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filling method for effectively removing air in the vicinity of an opening such as an ink feeding opening when a liquid such as an ink is poured inside. SOLUTION: The ink is poured from an ink pouring opening 159 under a condition that the back face 102 of an ink cartridge 10 is faced downward, and the ink is successively passed through a hole 275, a by-pass 270, a hole 272, a valve storing room 120, a communicating hole 181, an ink feeding room 175, and a communicating hole 182 (referred to Fig.5), is passed through ink flow paths (arrow marks 47 and 48) reaching an ink room 170, and is made to flow into the ink room 170. Air in the valve storing room 120 is exchanged thereby with the ink, and the air passes through a valve 190, and moves to the ink room 170 through the ink feeding room 175.
