PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key top member which, while being an etched product made of a metallic plate, makes a bridge part of a removed pattern such as a character inconspicuous. SOLUTION: The key top member is made of a metallic thin plate member 2 having a plurality of display parts 3 arranged in predetermined positions each comprising a character, figure, sign or diagram formed as a pattern removed by etching, and is used as a push button part for the key seat of an electronic device. At least one or more of the display parts 3 has a projected part 4 supported by a bridge part 5 connected to the periphery thereof. The bridge part 5 is formed by half-etching from at least one side. On the side half-etched, steps are provided at the boundary to the projected part 4 and the boundary to the periphery. Since the bridge part 5 becomes inconspicuous, the contours of the display parts 3 are made clear and easy to watch. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
