摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp having a structure allowing a worker to easily identify the difference of a sealing-side end from an exhaust-side end at a glance without imparting a difference to electrical characteristics at both ends. SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp 10 is structured such that a phosphor layer 2 is formed on the inside surface of a lamp glass tube 1; a discharge medium 3 is enclosed in a discharge space in the lamp glass tube; internal electrodes 4 and 5 are installed in the respective insides at both ends of the lamp glass tube; to the respective internal electrodes, lead wires 6 and 7 penetrating sealing ends of the lamp glass tube from tube end-side end surfaces thereof, and led out to the outside are connected; current conductor layers 8 and 9 are formed on the respective outer peripheral surfaces at both ends of the lamp glass tube; and the current conductor layers and the internal electrodes are brought into an electrically-conducting state. A dimensional difference capable of being visually identified is provided to the lengths of the respective current conductor layers at both the ends of the lamp glass tube from the tube ends.
