PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate miniaturization and assembly of an imaging apparatus, with respect to the apparatus for imaging an object by illuminating the object and using the light reflected from the object. SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting devices 22, 24 are mounted on the periphery of an image sensor 30, and the light of the plurality of light-emitting devices is guided to an imaging range by using a light guide 10, which is used for illuminating the object. Also, in the imaging apparatus in which an imaging system is adjacent to an illumination system, a protrusion of the light guide 10 is held at the lower end of a hood 78 for shielding the light, other than an imaging range and the upper end of the hood 78, is held by a filter 76. Furthermore, a slit is arranged at the lower end of the hood 78. A visible light filter is installed to the hood, and the visible light filter is fastened to an outer case, thereby preventing the occurrence of a gap between the hood and the visible light filter by the spring operation of the slit, even if it is assembled without bonding process.
