PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object image detection method and a device for quickly detecting an object image in the predetermined direction with less computational complexity. SOLUTION: This object image detection device has an object image identifying means discriminating whether or not the object image is included in an image in the predetermined direction, an image direction discriminating means discriminating the direction of an input image, and a rotation means rotating the object image identifying means in response to the discriminated direction of the input image.
