PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure modified into a burglarproof wall which is useful for preventing a group of thieves from committing a crime by destroying an external wall and breaking into a building. SOLUTION: In this structure for modifying the existing external wall D of the building made of steel frame and wood into a structure of the burglarproof wall, new horizontal furring strips 2a are installed from an indoor A side to set an interval of the horizontal furring strips 2 of a substrateαof the existing wall in a scope of man's reach to such an interval that does not allow a person or an indoor commodity to pass through it and set the interval of the furring strips 2, 2a to such width that does not allow a man's head to enter it.
