PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for sub-typing diffuse large cell lymphoma. SOLUTION: This method is characterized, by classifying a type having base mutations for forming one or a multiple number of changes such as the deletion, substitution or addition of one or a multiple number of bases in a nucleic acid region encoding the TAD, PEST of Notch2 protein and their C-terminal end side in the genome DNA or cDNA in a living body sample of a patient suffered from the diffuse large cell lymphoma, and a type which does not have such a base mutation.
