摘要 PURPOSE:To further reduce the incidence of bit error, by containing an org. compound having a decomposition point within a range from the m.p. of an org. dye to specific temp. in the org. dye of a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:An optical information recording medium has a recording layer containing an org. dye and constituted by containing an org. compound, which has a decomposition point within a range of the m.p. of said org. + or -10 deg.C, in the org. dye. The org. compound having the decomposition point near to the m.p. of the org. dye is added to said org. dye in order to enhance the thermal decomposition property of the recording layer due to the heat adsorption of semiconductive laser. The difference between the m.p. and the decomposition point is limited to the + or -10 deg.C range because the thermal decomposition property of the recording layer becomes abruptly low when said difference is equal to or more than said range and the generation rate of a bit error does not become quite different from a conventional one. The m.p. of the org. dye of the decomposition point of the org. compound often have a certain width. In this case, the min. or max. value of the decomposition point of the org. com pound to be added must be contained between the min. value of -10 deg.C of the m.p. of the org. dye and the max. value of +10 deg.C thereof.
