INK FOR COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter suppressing color irregularity and density irregularity in each portion and having excellent uniformity of characteristics among individuals; to provide an ink for a color filter by an ink-jet system to be suitably used for manufacturing the color filter; and to provide an image display device and an electronic equipment having the color filter.

SOLUTION: The ink for a color filter is to be used for manufacturing a color filter by an ink-jet method, and is characterized in that: the ink contains a pigment and a dispersion medium to disperse the pigment; the gas amount dissolving in the ink for a color filter obtained by gas chromatography is at most 10 ppm; the solubility of water with 100 g of the ink for a color filter is at most 6.0 g; and the vapor pressure of the dispersion medium at 25°C is at most 0.5 mmHg.
