HUMAN NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER CELL LINE HAVING ACQUIRED RESISTANCE TO GEFITINIB AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a stable human cell strain having resistance to highly concentrated gefitinib; to provide a method for simply screening a medicine for treating lung cancer having T790M mutation in EGFR gene with the cell strain; and to offer the cell strain to the analysis of acquired resistance mechanism.

SOLUTION: A gefitinib-resistant strain is obtained by repeating the culture of a human non-small cell lung cancer cell strain PC-9 in a culture medium whose gefitinib concentration is gradually enhanced. The resistant cell strain inhibits the signaling of EGFR and has T790M mutation in EGFR gene.
