<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus having a display screen and excellent in holding property even if the display screen is oriented in any direction and held. <P>SOLUTION: The display screen 120 is arranged in an area excluding a peripheral edge area 111a adjacent to a side surface 112, in a front surface 111 of a casing 110 shaped like a plate. The peripheral edge area 111a comprises: a groove section 114 which is formed to surround, making a round, the peripheral edge area 111a, and in which a detection section 1141 is arranged for detecting scroll information according to sliding operation by an operator; and a partial area 111b spread below the groove section 114.
