<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treatment of exhaust gas without pressure loss during treatment of the gas. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust gas cleaner 10A has a cleaning tower 12A to which exhaust gas 11 is supplied and a spraying unit 14 spraying an activated carbon fiber slurry 13 of a concentration of 20 g/m<SP>3</SP>to 10 kg/m<SP>3</SP>from the upper part of the inside of the cleaning tower 12A.
