INSULATION ANOMALY DIAGNOSING METHOD AND INSULATION ANOMALY DIAGNOSING DEVICE FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not an insulation anomaly part exists by surely detecting whether or not surface discharge has occurred even if it is a faint discharge.

SOLUTION: In a signal processing circuit 5, the frequency of ultraviolet ray detection by an ultraviolet sensor 2 is stored in a memory 7 for detection frequency data while the phase of a voltage impressed on a transformer 4 is stored in a memory 8 for voltage phase data at the point of time when ultraviolet rays are detected. An information processor 6 is used for taking in the frequency of ultraviolet ray detection stored in the memory 7 and the phase of the voltage stored in the memory 8 at prescribed periods, and determining whether or not discharge has occurred based on whether or not information of various kinds acquired from detected ultraviolet rays within a prescribed time period satisfies prescribed conditions.
