PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle behavior unstability detection device accurately detecting whether or not the vehicle behavior is unstable, and not giving incompatible feeling to a driver even when vehicle behavior stabilization control is performed based on the unstability detection result of the vehicle behavior. SOLUTION: The vehicle behavior unstability detection device is provided with a road surface reaction force torque actual variation amount detector 101; a road surface reaction force torque norm variation amount operator 102; a steering state detector 103; and a vehicle behavior unstability determination unit 104 for determining whether or not the behavior of the vehicle is unstable based on a detection value of the road surface reaction force torque actual variation amount dTa/dt, an operation value of the road surface reaction force torque norm variation amount dTa/dt* and a detection result of the steering state.
