PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper preventing the soiling of skin with excrement. SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 1 has a skin guard sheet piece 32b in the inner face side of a liquid permeable top sheet 32. Opening parts 38 and 39 for passing the excrement toward the top sheet are formed in the front/rear direction A of the skin guard sheet piece 32b and elastic members 37 extending in an elongated state in the front/rear direction A are attached to the side parts 40 of the sheet piece 32b in the both sides in the width direction B of the opening parts 38a and 39. A leakage prevention bank 58 is formed outside in the width direction B of the skin guard sheet piece 32b and the side parts 40 of the skin guard sheet piece 32b are joined with the leakage prevention bank 58 in a part between the base edge and free edges of the leakage prevention bank 58.
