PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger that is easy to carry, does not occupy much space when it is not in use, and is used stably safely, even when a battery pack is charged, while moving on an automobile. SOLUTION: In the charger 1, a board constituting a charging circuit is housed inside a housing 2 being a box-like outer frame, which is formed of an upper housing 2a and a lower housing 2b, and a coupling portion 3 which is detachable to and from which a battery pack 11, is formed in the upper face of the upper housing 11. Projections 4 are formed on the back face of the upper housing 2a, and a substantially perpendicular through hole 5 is formed in the projections 4 and a strap 21 is attached to the projections.
