PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of securing rotation stop of an upper column to a lower column while obtaining a collapsible function. SOLUTION: The relative movement in the axial direction of the lower column 102 and the upper column 106 can be allowed when relative rotation between the lower column 102 and the upper column 106 can be blocked by a rotation stopping member 120, and the force of not less than a predetermined value is received. Therefore, it is not necessary to increase a press fit load of the lower column 102 and the upper column 106 in order to suppress the rotation around the axis of the upper column 106, and the controlled collapsible function can be obtained.
