PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas appliance monitoring device capable of changing the monitoring level for each gas appliance. SOLUTION: The gas appliance monitoring device includes: a flow rate measurement means 17 measuring a gas flow rate; a gas shutoff valve 2c shutting a gas flow passage upon occurrence of abnormality; an information storage means 10b storing various kinds of information on the basis of the measurement result of the flow rate measurement means 17; a wireless module 11 transmitting and receiving information to/from a plurality of communication destinations; and a communication switching means 10c switching a communication frequency band according to the communication destination. The wireless module 11 is integrated with a control circuit board 10 constituting the flow rate measurement means 17 so as to be housed in a gas meter 2, uses an appliance wireless module 11d having a communication frequency band with at least a base station 14 and a communication frequency band with a plurality of gas appliances to transmit as appliance information an operation start signal detected by an appliance detection means 22 of a specific gas appliance.
