PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monomer solution of a chitosan derivative including a chitosan derivative, to be applied on the surface of a hydrophobic substrate, forming a smooth and stable film. SOLUTION: Provided are a monomer solution composition prepared by dissolving hydroxyalkyl chitosan in a vinyl monomer, and an article having a curing layer made of the monomer solution composition.
