PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stationary net that eliminates entering of large jellyfish such as Stomolophus nomurai, etc., by a relatively simple improvement and effectively catches fishes. SOLUTION: In the stationary net to be laid in a fishing ground in an ocean current, the fenced net of the stationary net is equipped with an opening through which a large jellyfish such as Stomolophus nomurai, etc., passes toward the downstream, the opening is furnished with a guide for introducing the large jellyfish to the opening, the large jellyfish moved along the fenced net is made to escape halfway in the downstream direction, prevented from entering the stationary net and only fishes are caught.
